I got my eggs today, WOW when you said to make a lot of room you were not kidding. Thank you Lori S. I have never hatched duck eggs befor, what do I need to do, anything different from chickens. I do know that the guineas and ducks take 28 days. Only one got cracked but not the giant one. Will set them tomorrow.
Your welcome! That was 2 1/2 days of gathering you got everything

They are not Muscovy eggs(I know this for a fact as I got my first muscovy hen yesterday!) Here is how I hatch my duck eggs and this method works for me and I have great hatch rates.
I fill my water tray when I set them in auto turner
I candle around day 10 or 12 refill water tray
I candle and take out of turner day 24 refill water tray and leave them alone
I have never measured my humidity so I do not know what it is
I read somewhere you should mist duck eggs and the one time I tried that I had miserable hatch rate so I have never done it again.
One thing that threw me for loop when I first started hatching duck eggs is they pip then make a hole in egg and work on that hole to zip and sometimes it can take 2-3 days!!

waiting on hubby to get home with box #2. got maryruth's yesterday. the only casualty was one of the quail eggs... i cracked it while trying to unwrap it.

I got 6 light brown eggs in the mail today. No note. Last name was Simon.

I'm sorry! It's my first time an I wasn't sure if I was supposed to put a note in or not.

The eggs are our light Sussex roo over his full size ladies -- Australorp, NHRed, barred rock, buff Sussex, GLW, and Salmon Faverolle. Pics are in the ad in my signature. Fertility has been awesome. I hope it is for you!

Thank you, BHep, for my eggs! I got them yesterday. The box had two slightly pushed in corners, and two of the eggs were cracked. All the others look good! Am I interpreting it right, blue laced red Wyandottes? That would be neat, I just picked up 3 blrw chicks a month ago and was wishing I had more. The olive eggs are really pretty, haven't seen those in person yet, am enraptured by their color. Thanks!

Glad they made it somewhat intact. Yes BLRW. You can see pictures on my profile...big fluffy birds. The olive eggs are from my barred olive eggers. BIG barred birds and the bonus of pretty eggs.
Happy Hatching !
