Junky Cough?

Ok. From what I understand, stress it what causes CRD to flare up. If I take her to a show and she starts coughing, will that spread, or will people be worried for their own chickens?

I don't think stress can trigger the CRD symptoms that fast. But if the hen begins to cough or sneeze, then she can spread the disease and you must take her home immediately.

CRD is chronic respiratory disease, a term for a disease that may come back again or be chronic. Mycoplasma gallisepticum and coryza are bacterial or bacteria-like organisms. ILT is another, but viral. All of those cause the whole flock to be carriers for life. Infectious bronchiis is another virus that causes respiratory disease, but it is short-lived over a month, and leaves the whole flock carriers for up to a year. Here is a good link to get some understanding of each disease:

Your state vet or local NPIP can help you with testing in your flock. There is also a national lab, Zoologix that will do testing if you contact them. They do MG testing as well as a whole respiratory panel for most diseases.

I talked to the breeder, he said that that’s common in his line of dark brahmas, and they run with all the other birds and they’re the only ones with symptoms.

He said he wouldn’t worry about it, but if I’m nervous I could get a refund or exchange for a different bird.

I’m just worried about if I take her to a show and she coughs or breathes like that is she going to be disqualified, or anything?

So will the sneezing go away, or will it continue? Would it just be better for me to get a different bird?

So would it be safe to show with that disinfectant? Also what will happen to my other birds? Would it be safer to just get a refund?

"CRD" is Mycoplasma. It makes birds carriers for life. It is shed throughout the lifetime and birds do not have to be symptomatic to spread it.

It would be a very good idea to find out exactly what you are dealing with.
I'm very sorry, but if she has respiratory disease, then imho, no she should not be shown. Again...my opinion - lose the breeder's address and phone number too.

I show all of my birds, although I currently do not have very money. I wouldn’t really like to do this, but would it be better to cull my whole flock? I wouldn’t be able to sell them off anymore.

Hard to say. Read up on respiratory diseases and how they are transmitted.
Get some testing to find out exactly what you are dealing with too, then...once you have information you can make an informed, practical decision of what you need to do.
