As other posters have said, Holderead's has *the* reputation for premium birds. I read from their catalog that they recommend that you should order a minimum of 3 show-quality line ducklings for every one bird you want to show and then choose the best conformed out of the 3.
My daughter wants to show ducks for 4-H, and I ordered khaki campbells from Ideal, and Harlequins (as well as layer hybrids) from Metzer. I've heard good things about the birds from both hatcheries for the youth shows circuit, so I'm curious to see how they stack up.
