Just a farm dog and her Turkeys

I have a bull Terrier. She doesn't chase anything. I never let her even attempt to chase the wild rabbits or my indoor animals. Had a cat, bird, lizards. If you teach them not too they won't. But you can't let them chase anything.

my dog would chase the wild turkeys, coons, hawks and what not.
When I got the chickens i taught him to leave them alone, he can now be out with the chickens and heritage turkeys and he is fine with them. He still chases the wild animals. They can learn the difference. He was six when I got the poultry.

Yes your right, they can absolutely learn the difference. Easier, I think anyway, to train them not to chase anything. But kudos for putting in the work.
