Just a few more days of freedom left...

hmmmm just realized my post a few comments up followed some rather tense dialog. I didn't mean to make light of anyone's comments; I was amused at how Mom2emall was so genuinely solicitous and sorry for the OP and then celebrating her own youngster(s) return to school. Hope that's now clear!

nahh..its a light-hearted thread. The bummers of summer vacation being over for all school-aged kids. I remember that dread very well. The sheer fact that you now MUST get up to an alarm clock/mom etc. at such a horrible time in the morning- when its still DARK outside.

Its just that as a mom...well...

wow...

uhm...

I was just stating how i don't want to go back to school and was hoping to be getting some input from some other teens [which i did!] on there back to school feelings and how moms prepare there kids but this turned around into a [this is what it seem's to me] I'm a better parent than you argument, does anyone here want to hear about how good of a parent anyone is and downgrading anyone else, i dont think so. I understand what the chicken lady said: "On an internet forum, you're going to be facing a lot of ideas and lifestyles that are different than your own. This is a natural consequence of the internet being accessible to almost anyone, anywhere, anytime. It's important to take what you read with a grain of salt, avoid swift judgment, and avoid pressing your own philosophy on others. Certainly you can share your own life experience and how you enjoy the choices you've made, but you need to word it carefully so that you don't alienate others who think differently". Those are some words of wisdom and I know it is going to happen but i wanted to "thank" all of you who completly took this over and changed the topic, its what i personally love to see...

thank you all who sympathized with me to this "wonderful time of year"....

I can remember having summer I didn't want to end, and others where I couldn't wait to get back to school. Now I can't wait for all the kids to go back to school so that my kids and I can go to Disneyland and other various places without all the crowds!
