Well, I have pretty much all the fencing done now, I still need to build a screen door for the opening under the coop itself. For now I have a piece of plywood nailed over it. I have other things that need to be finished first, like the pop door!

Once all the trim is done, I can apply the finish paint to the run. I hope to get a start on this over the weekend.

I am quite happy with how the door came out though. I also plan to add a "base molding" around the bottom that will cover the hardware cloth that is planted underground.

I can't wait to get this stage done so I can begin the vinyl siding!

What a great looking coop/run! Really a nice looking structure for your yard. Is that a nest access on the side of the coop?
I love the look of your screen door. The entire building appears well built.
One note.... because you've put the lock up high the door, you may want to check at the bottom. Sometimes those dang predators can pull the bottom part open and squeeze in.

Beautifully done; thanks for taking time to post the photos.

Nice Job! We just purchased a ready made coop at a shed dealer on the highway. It took me days just to retro fit a dog pen with wire mess we placed next to it. We filled our coop with four grown chickens.

Good Luck with your chickens!
