I don't have Metzer ducks, but wanted to say congrats!! I need to troll their site & look for errors too, lol!

@tia: Just scrolling through I saw your ducks and thought, "Holy cow, if those are Metzer birds I'd better place an order!" Beautiful birds--Holderread really is astonishingly good. It's kind of a shame there aren't *more* breeders producing stock like that.

haha. It think i cleaned them all out.

I went through every txt description and article ducks through the diseases. every link on there i checked with spelling and grammar check on word. If i were you i would check the geese descriptions. Thats the only place i didn't look.

I have 7 runners from Metzer. They hatched 10/11/2010. I received 11 and 4 died within 3 days of arrival. I think that some of that may have been due to my inexperience with ducks. I will post some pics tomorrow. I have a blue female, black female, f/w female and 2 black males, 1 chocolate male and 1 f/w male. The black males have GORGEOUS coloring. Mine run the gamut of very friendly to pretty flighty. Most of mine have a very upright stance at all times. I am actually selling 4 of them and you can see pics at

They have started mating but no eggs yet. I was very happy with Metzer and considering I am in Florida and they shipped all the way across the country I actually had expected losses.
