I've been fiddling with my old still air hovabator and am having an issue. I have it adjusted so that throughout the daytime, the temperature is perfect....but...as the house cools off at night the temp plummets. We heat with wood, and in the weather we've been hvaing here the past few days, that means we've not been heating at all. The house will be 70s in the daytime, but drop into the mid-50s at night. When it does, the incubator drops with it, usually down to 96 or so.

Any ideas on what to do with this problem? I thought maybe partially covering the bator... but a lot of days I leave for work when it's still warm and dont get home till 1-3 am....

I wonder if I could mark the spot where it's adjusted for daytime, with a seperate mark for night time, and do that? I dont know... I'm confused.

Hello,

We had that problem for the first time last night with the temp dropping. Got it back but now with the temps rising, we will have to check it more often and turn it back down.
