Found this elongated, tube-like thing in the nest. No yolk, just white. Guess someone's assembly line had a glitch.
hummm. That's interesting. it looks like the shell is broken, but the albumen was put on the outside. does shell form if there is nothing for it to form around? I guess the more you do the more you see, and the more you see the more weird things get. my girls have just stopped laying. they say August is their vacation month. I hope there are no complications When they start up again.
