Just Another Worm Question?

We are new at this and have found that our 7 girls LOVE LOVE LOVE Meal Worms. At $2.56 for 35 at Wal-Mart it is getting quite costly, especially when they want several each.................. My Worm Question is, what is the difference between Red Worms and Red Wigglers??? Which is easier to raise for food for our flock, meal worms or red worms? Which is healthier? Sorry about all the ?'s//////////

I'm new at this, but I've been raising my own mealworms for about 4 months . . . search for the thread about growing your own. I think others more knowledgeable will have comments about not over-doing it with earthworms due to parasites. But if your chicks free range, they'll find their own . . . .
