(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? no first experience was when son was in 4H years ago
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? O just placed my order for the end of June and End of August will have 14 to start when they arrive
(3) What breeds do you have? ordered Plymouth Barred Rock, Speckled Sussex, Salmon Faverolle, Heritage Barred Rock, Black Jersey Giant, Easter Egger, Welsumer. Bantams, Silkie, Frizzled, Mottled Cochin.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? the joy of just caring for them and enjoying the entertainment that they bring
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Crafting, spending time with family (grandbabies) and friends
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. My Children are grown, Husband and i have 3 dogs, English Bulldog, Yorkie and Standard Poodle. The Standard Poodle is my Cardiac Alert Service Dog and she is amazing! And 3 cats. Also my Husband is a Bee Keeper and enjoys it very much
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Discovered it when my son was active in 4H chickens were his project. We learned so much. His Rhode island red took first place. He then entered them into the county fair and won first place there as well. He is grown now and husband and i are retired. We have missed the chickens so decided to have them again because now we have the time to devote to raising and enjoying them
