Just bought bag of feed...is it supposed to be like sawdust?

Just bought a 50lb bag of Nutrina chick starter feed and its consistency is like sawdust.
The last time i had chicks i fed them Purina chick starter and it was like little pebbles.
Is this normal for Nutrina or is the bag bad? I'd hate to throw away $20 but i also have to feed my older girls the chick food too as they share a coop/run & i don't see how they can go from eating pellets to this sawdust food.

No, you're right...shouldn't be like sawdust at all. You're not out $20 .. take that sack of feed back to the feed store!
