just bouhgt chick feed i think i got the wrong stuff HELP!

my chiks will be hatching any day know and i just drove all the way to the nearest feed store and asked for chik starter and they gave me a 50lbs bag of feed and thats all they had

this is what the label says

There are two camps on whether to feed medicated starter or not, and both have very valid arguments. The medication in your feed is just a thiamine blocker, which prevents the coccidia (protozoa found in soil) from absorbing the B vitamin they need to survive. No scary drug there.

Coccidiosis can kill young chicks, so this is why many folks choose this type of feed. Do note that even on medicated feed chicks can be vulnerable to cocci, so always keep a close eye on their droppings and be alert to the presence of blood or excessive mucous. This is the beginning of your life watching poop. Enjoy!

It's starter mash which is right, although it's medicated. I feed mine unmedicated personally.
