This is is main girl Ms Buffy. We tried to get chicks from him as he is so good but nothing ever hatches. He has 6 sweet girls. Ironically Mr Toughie the jerk roo fathered chicks. Toughie got culled but his sons are showing real promise as they near the 6 mth mark. They run from me lol!

I’d love to have a roo like that one day! And wow! What a looker:eek:

Aren't good roos just the best?! I am blessed with my Nsrdole, he is a good boy too.
Although I must admit, your guy here is much better looking! What a looker!
Totally true. You hear a lot of horror stories of bad ones so I wanted to brag on a super good one. Those guys deserve their time in the limelight.

Thank you all for your wonderful posts on Mr Spot. He may not have flashy coloring or dramatic feathering. He is a barred rock and he is huge!! He wieighes in at almost 12 lbs. so thank goodness he is a gentle giant. But he is a good looking boy and he is a class act. I should rename this thread as tell us your wonderful roo stories.

Nardole the Brave is what I call my boy, but it could just as easily be Nardole the Just, or Nardole the Kind.
His exploits are the stuff of legend--He attacked a fox! He adopted a single mother and her three chicks! He breaks up fights in the coop and refuses to allow the other cockerel to be a bully!
He is still young, under a year, but has been nothing but a gentleman towards the pullets, tidbitting and dancing until the squat. No chasing! No grabbing!
He won't win any beauty contests, but he is my good boy.
