So im on day 23 and just did the float test ummmm well it didnt sink it didnt bob around and just stuck there upright what does this mean im going insane arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrh

I would candle and see where the air cell is and open shell. then you could see if chick is shrinkwrapped or not. If still alive you could help it out. Otherwise if they aren't moving by day 26 and had not hatched I would do final float test and if no movement I would open to confirm death and dispose. Anything more since yesterday?

Watch it for a full minute...if it doesn't rock back and forth at all it's probably not alive. Youu can candle for the air cell lik someone said (should be the fat end of the egg) and gently use the sharp point of a knife (like a steak knife) to "drill" the tiniest hole, then chip away usin blunt tweezers until you can see the inner membrane & chick. If it's alive it should react to your damp fingertip gently touching it thru the membrane.
