Sounds like everybody had a fairly decent hatch. I hope that the late ones will hatch soon as well! My hatch is over, my 10 emergency C-section ones are doing great and I discarded the 4 eggs that perished when the temp went too low. Now my bator is full with 4*12...ahhh 48 eggs. Silky, Wyandotte, Black Copper Maran, Salmon Faverolle and Easter Egger. Yeah. So will subscribe from this thread and find me a new one. Maybe somebody can't help themselves either and are settig again soon??? Talk to you all later!

I am beyond frusterated!! #1 that pipped died over night. During an eggtopsy I saw the head was kind of twisted upsidedown. #2 that pipped zipped and was out within 20 mins. It layed on the floor and rested, still had a cord attached and then ended up ripping it off and died about 5 hours after it hatched. #3 pipped about 1 yesterday and broke all the way through, #4 partial pipped at about 2 and they both had no progress at 11 pm last night. So fearing that they would get stuck like the 1st I helped with a pair of tweezers so the hole got big enough and they were being active and peeping again. Now this am, they have NO PROGRESS....I'm fearing they will get stuck in there like the first.....what am I to do??? Zip around for it using the tweezer method?

I plan on setting about 38 indian runner duck eggs on the 5th ( give a day for the late guys to hatch hopefully and clean the bator). Then adding some chicken and bantam eggs in a week.

I have BLRW eggs on the way, so I will be resetting by the end of the week.

Out of 17 eggs and a promise by the breeder that I will have an 80% hatchability rate...I only have 5 very cute BLRW. ARG! I will keep the other eggs in the bator for one more day. Last year we did so well....I wondered what happened this year
