Maybe in older generations but I never thought it was a common attitude; I have noticed more frequently that it is the girl crying rape so she doesn't get in trouble even though everything was fine till they got caught.

I'm actually hoping to get called in for jury duty. Yea, it isn't rosey, but hey, I'm unemployed. I can do a civic duty, which would help pass the time and be a good learning experience.

i still meet many people in my generation where they think if the woman is dressed in a certain way they deserve it.

you see this behavior in the hidden camera show "what would you do" where a majority of the patrons think this waitress dressed in a tight red dress deserves being sexually harassed by her boss.

Also if you read many news stories they often scrutinize a victim of an attack by where they were, who they hung out with and what they wore.

It does come in play. A lot of trials I have seen of rape were part of town she was in, who she was with, and what she was wearing. A comedian talked about that (Dave Chappelle) talked about girls dressing a way and then they get offended, to which he said "If I wore a cop outfit on the corner people are gonna come to me for help" then his reaction to the people asking for help "Just because I dress this way does not make me a police officer" not the best way of putting it but best way I could word it.

Matthew...I can't tell you how offensive that attitude is. Especially from a male. It merely perpetuates the stereotypes and the myths about rape. I suggest you look up the statistics on rape and sexual violence in this country. Rape is one of the most under reported crimes. False reporting of rape is very rare. Get your head out of your preassumptions and get a load of the truth. Additionally, when it comes to children, false reports of sexual assaults are even rarer.
