We are new to chickens and are now totally confused!! lol There are so many breeds and we have no idea what we should get. We are looking for duel purpose chickens. We live in Southern Arizona so they need to do ok with heat, We would also like some with good dispositions if possible as I am a co-leader of a girl scout troop and would like to be able to let the girls (ages 9-12) interact and learn about them. I would LOVE input from all you veteran chicken people as to what you think would be good chickens for us. I have done a lot of homework on the subject of chickens and I know that there is still things that we will learn with trial and error, but I think having advice from you all will help us make a better choice of bird for our family than just what I've learned from the books!!
