Anyone want to guess the genders of these silkies with me as they grow? I'll come back every couple of weeks with new pictures and we can keep guessing.

They are 6-7 days old now. All arrived on Wednesday morning with some wing feathers coming in. The white the most, the black the least. The white is significantly larger than the other two. Uhm, the white was a bit of a bully when it arrived, but seems to have settled down. The black is the shyest. The buff is the most curious.

Obviously we can't tell yet, but I thought it would be fun to see how our guesses evolve.

This sounds fun! Okay, my guess is the white one and the black one are cockerels, the buff one is a pullet.

I'm personally getting big rooster vibes from the white. The others I keep going back and forth about.

I'm hoping at least two are pullets because my bantam luck has been rotten so far, 3 roosters and a hen in my first batch.

The white one really looks like a rooster. I'm pretty sure on that one.

I think my guess is going to stay the same. The white and black ones are cockerels, and the buff chick is a pullet.

The buff is getting unexpected color. I thought Meyer only sold solid colors. I don't care, but I was surprised.

3 weeks! I'm starting to hold out hope the black and buff could be girls. They look more like each other than the white. Pretty sure the white will turn out to be a boy. Might just be wishful thinking though.

So far there hasn't been any squabbling for position in the group. The last time I had 3 rooster chicks they started squabbling almost immediately.
