just found eggs

Cool I would think. You won't want to get them wet if you want to hatch them. I store mine for up to a week or so if I am going to be hatching... so yes, you could still try after a week.... candle at day 10 to see if they are developing or not.

thanks for all the help i think ill get theas and see if thay float now i know wear thay want to lay ill put golf balls and see if one starts to set ill collect and save next ones and try to hatch should i replace same #of golf balls as eggs or just one golf ball thanks again

just one golf ball IN the nest area you want them to lay in to give her the idea, and block off that area you DON't want them laying in is best really.

[edit] Oh, and I doubt they'll be bad, but if you have doubts about eating them, you can hard boil them, then squash them up shells and all, and feed them back to the hens for protein and calcium suppliment. Most people do this if they wind up with too many eggs on hand. (regular customers don't get their normal amount of eggs etc) It's really good for them and they won't associate mashed up ones with eggs 'in' the nest, don't worry!
