just getting started

what kind of shots or medications should I have when I receive my day old chicks? I haven't done this before and want to give them the best possible start. Thanks in advance

Hello,

If you are purchasing your chicks from a supplier then I would strongly suggest you check with them in regards to any medication/vaccinations they have already received. This will limit any additional vaccinations they will be able to receive. Furthermore, they should also be able to inform you of any diseases specific to your location or their hatchery.
