You have to be signed in to like posts. I had a moment like that today and realized I have it checked to keep me signed in and it is kicking me out anyway and required me to sign in again. It allows likes if signed in. Check the top right corner to make signed in. Don’t know why this does not happen for weeks and then it happens constantly in a day.

Sour the like button frequently doesn't work for me. Nifty once told me that LIKE causes the most problems, so I guess difficult to fix.

Sometimes I'lI go back to try again, it will show I liked the very post, it refused to like before ???
