Just got my R-Com 20 Pro 2Day! How do I save eggs.........

Well, I guess I am just lazy. I will blame it on the hens though (lol). I leave all my eggs in the nests for at least a week, then go gather them and put them in the bator.

A WEEK IN DA NEST,,,,,,OH My God ,,,,,,ME EGGS are pick up daily ruffly 18 fully size eggs s now –n- 12 bantams eggs......... I pick close to 25-30 eggs daily and chose which ones will go into the bator at certain times and which one's go into me belly and family -n- friends belly's LOL

The only reason why I hatch my eggs is I’m curious On what will turn out from my mix barn yard pure breeds .........it’s a hobby , but it is habit forming- az me wife say’s or I’m just crazy ------I’m always wanting to know what “IF “ I breed this with that and what I’ll get

I incubate mine because I am allergic to eggs, so what else am I gonna do with them? I got the chickens (first 6 anyway!!) to help with the tick problem. it is definitely a very addictive past time. The first time I set eggs in the bator, I set 18, second 12, and 3rd-6. I only have 7 hens that are big enough to lay, and only 2 are laying where I can find them. The others are either setting or have babies already!

I have a really strange question. If you are allergic to eggs are you also allergic to meat from chickens? Just really curious if it works that way. I am the only person I know who swears that chicken meat smells just like eggs.

You an seriously tell they are the same thing.

No I am not allergic to chicken meat. I am, however, allergic to chickens. so the poor things only get to stay in the house for a few days before they get kicked out to the box, or tote, or whatever is being used as a brooder atm!!

SORRY TO HEAR THIS ,I WAS JUST JOKING AROUNG about collecting ur eggs once a week just thiugh it was kinda funny i though most would collect there eggs daily like feeding there chicking

No problem Al!! I am sure I would be tarred and feathered by some If they new how I did things!! The gods definitely smile on me though. I should have not had any eggs hatch, as much as I mess up, but so far I had 2 sets, one with 12 eggs, and one with six. All eggs hatched but one on each set. So I don't think it really matters how you gather them as long as you do. It's just easier to let the hens turn the darn things themselves until I pick them up lol!

it's funny how some say do this and do that , but we try too do the same and it don't work ,but when we say we did this and it works ,they're say no way in He!? that with that work ,quest it trial by error annd where we live and weather .....what work for so don't mean it can work for others ......or or chickens justt don't understand the rules ........LOOL GOOD LUCK W/ FUTURE HATCHING .....Do whats works for ya sweety
