I heard of a guy who raised 3 legged chickens because him, his wife and his daughter preferred drumsticks. When asked how did they taste he replied "dunno, haven't ever been able to catch one" (a little funny the first time)

Very cool! Hope she does okay.

There's an APA judge who lives in my community. Last year he brought a 6-legged (I think it was 6, definitely more than 4) rooster to the county fair to exhibit. Someone hatched it in Idaho, and he ended up with it down here. It was amazing!

Wow, amazing. I was wondering too if it wasn't suppose to be 2 twins. You should check with a poultry vet and ask them about the possibility of parasitic twins in birds, in particular, chickens. It happens in humans all the time, so why not in chickens? I don't think the extra legs will bother it. I hope it's a pullet and that she lives a long and healthy life.

I think it happens quite often in chickens, but this is a first for me. I've hatched a lot of chicks from them and this is the first abnormal one. Handicapped animals always find me somehow, so she'll be no different.... live here until she leaves naturally.

holey smokes! I think my heart would have skipped a beat if it were my chick that I saw hatching out like that! pretty neat though! it found the right home
