Just hatched a baby chick !

One of my Roosters a Sapphire Gem and one of my Prarie Bluebell hens got the job done and just hatched this little one ! Not sure if any else has cross bred these 2 but excited to see how she turns out ! I assume there’s a chance she will be an olive egger??

Cute! Congratulations! I'd call her an Easter Egger. Usually to create Olive eggs, you need a dark brown egg gene mixed with blue. Sapphire Gems wouldn't have the dark brown gene. Hopefully this little one is a girl and will lay you beautiful eggs.

Thank you , ok yeah I wasn’t sure if she will carry the mothers gene and be a blue egg layer or not but I guess in 6 months we will find out haha
