Just how contagious is mareks?

I have a bird in isolation in a coop by herself that is showing sone symptoms if mareks: paralyzed left foot, tremors and wobbly while trying to walk. A couple feet away, like 4 ft, is another small coop. Can I put chickens in the small coop next to hers, is it far away enough? In case it is mareks. I've read it's spread through dander and so it would seem they would have to be enclosed with each other for any real danger. Anyone know? I'm just running out of places to put birds.

Marek's is highly contagious and can be spread either directly or indirectly. I would not be using that coop close by unless your other patient is also showing signs of Marek's.
