Just introducing myself on this great platform.

Welcome to BYC!
I subscribed. I am so glad to see you are not using those tiny hatching time cages anymore. Please think about upgrading your run and cover it with hardware cloth. That chicken wire will not keep predators out very good.

I just came onboard here as this past year, I am new to raising chickens. I hatched with my Brinsea Incubator last May the 4th, 10 Icelandic chickens successfully. Built a metal 13x9 chicken run and acquired a great large wooden structure coop that I placed in the chicken run. I also have a youtube channel that I am getting very serious with. Sparks Family Homestead. Recently moved onto this small mountain connected to the Appellations here in North Eastern Tennesse. I am doing this all as a bit older in life now. Wished I was 30 years younger to be doing this Homestead adventure but never too Late. Lol... Anyway, looking forward to viewing many posts here and perhaps asking questions myself on this homestead journey with chickens and all. I did post already by answering a question on deicing frozen chicken water outside in these freezing Artic blasts that many in the South are feeling. Including myself. I am creating shortly a resolution to that issue as stated in my earlier 1st posting. Thanks. Wayne
