Hi I am new to this site and new to chicken raising. I have enjoyed reading all your comments, questions and answers and have learned a lot from you all so thank you. We live in queensland australia and I have 6 wyandotte x pullets about 18 weeks. Not sure of their age and the wyandotte part is debatable but I am a complete convert already.

Hi && Welcome!!!

Hello and :welcome
If you want any help identifying your chickens you can post a thread in What breed or gender is this?. And I am in Adelaide, good to see more Aussies! Come join in our thread in Where am I, where are you.
Anyway, I hope you have many rewarding experiences raising your chickens, don't hesitate to ask any questions you might have, and enjoy the site! :D
See you round! :frow

Mixed breed chickens are the best; they are often really colorful, have "hybrid vigor", and a lot of the time are better layers than purebred chickens. My mutts are some of my favorite chickens in the flock.
