There were a lot of fires started the same day- they believe it to be arsen there was one on each side of us

What a nightmare! Your photos are excellent. Could sell that first one! Worth a thousand words and more.

There is a great thread California - Northern that I subscribe to. Lots of really great folks and some are in your area (breathing smoke!). Come by and say hello sometime. Everyone would love to see your Orps and I think there are some breeders around. We all love pictures too!

Arson is such a cowardly and despicable crime. My MILs house in Ukiah caught fire a few years back from a fire that swept up the hill below her. She was inside and didn't even know it was on fire. Her husband and the firefighters got there at the same time and got her out. Kept damage to a minimum. Several fires had been set that day by a crazed arsonist. They caught him. Quite insane.

Hope they catch whoever started the fires near you.

I didn't take those, though I am a photographer. The first one was by someone fighting on the front I beleive, the second was someone high tailing it. They were shared by friends on facebook. I was too busy dodging flame and cinder to take pictures, plus my kids were crying and screaming.

yeah me 2 :) I don't care what the motive it is insane. There was a man who did that when I lived in southern cal, he was desperate and wanted the insurance money.... he ended up killing his family in the process, as well as taking out hundreds of homes.

They did really well. I think it would have been easier if their dad were here. We went to a friends house which they never want to leave when we go there. They calmed down real quick. I didn't- I had no sleep that forst night. All is well now, I believe the fire is well under control now. I can't see a smoke cloud anymore.
