We have 16 little chickies that are all 7-8 days old. we know 11 of them are assorted reds, and 5 are assorted pullets (surprises). so I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions or guesses on gender and/or breed. I know not all breeds can be sexed the same way, but just wanted some one with an experienced eye opinion.

I agree and say #1cockerel, #2 pullet, #3 cockerel
I'm by no means a chicken sexing expert but from what I was shown about the wing feathers, that is what I have come up with.

the first two could be anything really. lots of breeds have yellow chicks.

the last one could either be RIR, NHR or production red cockerel or hen can't remember which

After getter older chickens yesterday and one of them was discovered to be a NHR hen, then I really think both of the spotted winged chickies will be NHR. can they be wing sexed? if so are they both ROO?

our new girl is beautiful. the first to are very pail yellow, I know the flash kind of makes them look really white, but they are pail yellow.

TSC said they were 1 and 2 days old when we got them, and they are all from the same shipment, but we bought 10 of them last saturday, and the other 6 monday or tuesday. so I guess a better age would be 8-10 days old then
