JUST LOST ONE DON'T WANT TO LOSE ANOTHER

is it whole corn, or cracked corn??
Are they getting enough grit with it???
Chickens cant digest whole corn well- even with grit....

Another thing to try is to mix 2c. cornmeal, 3c. oatmeal, 1 large carton of plain yogurt, 1c. olive oil, and enough warm water to make a slurry warm water and feed it to them... (enough for 10-15 birds) the oil & Yogurt will often soften the impacted matter and speed things thru (if ya know what I mean!) ad the yogurt helps with digestion.

We had a young turken pullet with a Badly impacted crop a while back-- and gave her no food except yogurt with olive oil for 24 hours.. and massaged it (gently) every couple hours and she passed it thru in about 36 hours.

Thanks to the good folks here and at 4H for the info that saved my gals!!!!

So my Condi is doing better since I drained her of the baloon. Her head is healing, hope her feathers come back soon for I may have to get her a nifty hat, kidding, and she is back in the coop with the rest of the flock at night. But she cant jump around aND has what may be internal damage to her tendons or joints,Im doing physical therapy with her to use her body correctly.I think the other hens are jealous. So I put her up on the perch at night and take her out in the morn. And for the one that attacked her and left her a bloody mess,I put her in lock down for 24hours,that allowed Condi to get her position back,They can be like high school girls!
