Hi and thanks for the add. I am Gary and live in the Annapolis Valley in Nova Scotia, Canada. I have never had chickens before and just made the decision to. My neighbours have free rangers that come over and hang out all the time, so I thought I might as well get a 4 pack of my own. I see this sight as the ultimate resource for raising chickens. I look forward to learning lots and sharing my experience with you all. Cheers.

Welcome! Chickens are both exciting and addicting. I both hatch/order chicks every year and the anticipation for their arrival never gets old! I told my husband that I was excited for this week and he asked if it was because my family was visiting. I said “What? No? My order of chicks will be here!”.😅
 
Hello Gary, and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
Make sure you build your coop and run before you get your flock and home them to it before letting them range or the free ranging visitors might steal them.
