So just moved over these girls into the coop. They got food and water and are eating and exploring every inch. I keep looking and reading, about how long to keep them in there before I release them into the run

Now as long as it's predator-proof. You'll probably have to go out and help them get back into the coop at night for a while until they learn how to do it on their own. Can you post better pictures of your coop?

Yeah I will once I get back home. I got the bottom covered by mesh on both sides of the floor. Plus the run I made has chicken wire every which way. Plus my two Great Pyrenees will be around when they are outside. Since the coop is in my fenced in yard

This is from the camera I got setup outside. There is another fan/vent on the other side

I'd say about a week but you might be a bit tight on space and ventilation in there to keep them locked up that long. Is it hot where you're at and have you taken temperature readings to ensure it doesn't get too much hotter than outside temps?

You'll want to put hardwire cloth instead of the chicken wire. Chicken wire can still let predators like racoons get to your chickens through the fence as well as allow mice and rats in if that's an issue in your area. Opt for 1/4" or 1/2" hardwire cloth instead.

I have thermostat in there right now the highest is going to be the 80’s yesterday got to like 85 and that coop only got to like 75ish but then I went in there to check in on them did not feel that warm in there. Also there is vent on the back side going across

That is on the inside portion, I got chicken wire underneath the outside portion underneath. Any other space I put in expanding to close the gaps

Also now it seems like one of my Great Pyrenees’s just wants to chill near it and lay there and watch over it this morning

Do you have a way to get them out from under the coop? When you let peepers out that is going to ring the dinner bell and whatever comes will scare them under there.
