Just need to know important info

Hi I'm new and just need to know a few tips. This is my first time breeding quails in an incubator with probably 20 eggs in their and only one has hatched, it keeps crying in the incubator. What do I do??. And also for my brooder I'm useing a 50wt heated bulb which is glass and is tinted purple. Is that ok for baby quails?

I don't have quail, but their needs seem similar to chicks. Unless where you are keeping them is already quite warm, I don't know how close you would have to keep a 50 watt bulb to make them warm enough.

How long ago did your first baby hatch?

Have you checked out any of the hatching articles in the Learning Center? They are very informative and may put you in touch with some hatching gurus.
