I'm sorry for asking so much stuff but I'm learning and quickly. I've got a one year old silkie roo who is very quiet. He had a respiratory problem awhile back and i treated it with keflex and he got better. Last week or so he's been off. I don't hear any wheezing no nasal discharge there is some yellowish goop in both eyes. He's not interested in eating but had eaten a little bit along with drink. I've been giving him some keflex because these were symptoms displayed before with his respiratory problem. Any help is welcome. I'm going to give him some eggs now.

Is a vet an option?

Do you have any pictures? Keflex is not one of the antibiotics used in most poultry respiratory diseases. If it is bacterial or mycoplasma, Tylosin, doxycycline, and oxytetracycline are sometimes helpful. If it is coryza, there may be a bad odor, and sulfa antibiotics are probably better. Viral diseases have to run their course and antibiotics do not help much. Try to clean the eyes and get out any pus. Here is a link where to buy antibiotics:

There's no vet versed in chickens close by. Thks for the links I'll check it out. That's no odor.

Now i do have amoxicillin that i got. Would that be an option. That tylosin I'm going to look into getting.

Sorry no pics he's just standing and hasn't crowed. And losing some feathers but nothing to bad. And is tylan there same as tylosin?

No, amoxicillin can be good for infected wounds and repeorductive infections, but doesn’t treat mycoplasma (MG.) Tylosin is the generic name for Tylan.

Thank you so much for the info

Ok would you go with just tylosin or a mixture of tylosin and doxycycline?
