Started incubating shipped khaki eggs 30 days ago. Two hatched yesterday. There are 8 left. First time incubating shipped eggs and poured over all the info I could find within this amazing forum. Followed instructions from letting them rest to marking the air pockets. Yep. Pretty serious saddled eggs. Wrote everything down.
Well, it's been 24 hours since the 1st two hatched and there is no movement, no tapping and what blood vessels I could see are dark. Would this be the time to do the float test?

That wouldn't have any affect on hatching date
Of the 2 that hatched, one was sticky. The yellow color. So, I suspect she was an older egg. She is also definitely NOT a khaki. Reached out to the seller and she's sending more eggs-no charge.
She believes the baby may be a Golden 300. So, of the 12 we ordered we received 18. After resting them the recommended time frame, they were incubated. At day 10 one was infertile and 7 were clearly scrambled. The remaining 10 progressed well. On the 9th, I did my final candling and 4 were moving and trusted the others were sleeping. Yesterday, the 11th, I found 2 hatched overnight. Since the mystery baby was clearly sticky, I took both babies out and bathed little miss sticky.
