Just ordered first chicks: feed question

you don't have to stop medicated feed when you treat with corid IMO. it's the same medication so theres no drug interference and I doubt the increase matters very much. I dont bother with buying unmedicated chick feed for during treatment.

Yes. You can protect your bantam by not getting the other chicks vaccinated. Vaccinated chicks will hide mareks that they can then pass on to non-vaccinated chicks. Flocks should either be all vaccinated or all non-vaccinated.

I would err on the side of assuming most small scale backyard breeders do not vaccinate their chicks, so if you intend to ever have those in your flock, I would go for a fully unvaccinated flock.

Yes but if the hatchery wont vaccinate, OP would have to do it themselves and
1) vaccines arent available as 1 dose - the hatchery is buying 63633736 doses at once which OP would not want to do and
2) I believe anything past day old chicks isnt effective with the Mareks vaccine

That's for the chicks at Cackle. The actual vaccine for mareks can not be purchased in quantities of less than 100 doses. OP can't vaccinate their chick because they can't buy one dose of the vaccine for it.

The OP doesn't want to separate the chicken from the rest. One bantam will get so lonely. I know another hatchery doesn't vaccinate bantams.

Call back and change the order to all unvaccinated chicks IMO or leave off the bantam.
