just ordered from 3 different hatcheries husband doesn't know

I think you're testing the husband to see if he's the killer the fox is. But you know, 57 more is a fair replacement. Plus it's all his fault.

Good luck, on both counts.

thanks, he'll be alright, he has no choice: !!!that's when you get what you want when they feel quilty,: besides he doesn't like to admit it but he likes the chickens too:

I recently lost 4 to dumb dog. So I replaced with 18 eggs and 11 chicks...seems fair

if I thought I could get away with it I'd order the same ammount! Unfortunately my husband counts really good. And that's what got me in touble last spring when the feed stores had chicks.

Haha! They move so fast they're hard to count! The problem comes when hubby sees the hatchery invoice that has the exact number and the shipping charge on it!! 57 and maybe packing peanuts for the winter?!!!

On the other hand I brooded 56 this past late summer. It's not THAT many even though they can be a handful (of cuteness). But then those 56 little 3-4-week-old Munchkins get that little chicken****** attitude and they GOTTA go outside....
