Just picked up eggs from PO - No Chick for me!

I use chickens so i don't know the temperature and humidity. My early ones for some reason take 28 days but they started hatching in 26 a couple weeks ago. The later ones have been hatching in 26 days for the last 15 or 20 years. I have no explanation for it but i know what happens. I have always blamed it on the weather getting hotter and possibly starting to develope a little before i set them but i really don't know for sure.

Okay... I rinsed the 'bator tray. got water for humidity. It's warming up.
I gotta leave for work in an hour

So I can come home on my break tonite and put the eggs in when I'm sure the temp/ humidity are stable. Probly around 1am.
So, roughly in 4 hours, I should be setting the eggs.
Thanks for all the advice.

Eggs are in!!
I only get an hour for lunch, so I hope the temp stays stable until I get home at 7:30 in the morning.
I'll candle them in a week and report back.
Thanks again to all the people who took the time to post here - I really appreciate the support!

Yup, I remember reading to candle at 10 days. It's on the "directions" I printed out. I'm mostly going by the hatch info from the UPA website.
I'm hand-turning the eggs, got the humidity stable at about 60%, and I have 2 themometers. One measures temp in the 'bator. The other one is folded into a gel pack at the level of the eggs to hopefully give me a good idea of the eggs' internal temp.
Seems to be working well - right now 'bator temp reads 99.2 and egg temp reads 100.0.
Now I just have to keep it stable for about 27 more days!

OK - so I candled my 6 opal peafowl eggs and 5 out of the 6 have detached air cells. Only one looks alright. They must have been scrambled by the USPS.
I am a little depressed. I wanted peafowl very badly. Well, wish me luck on that last egg. I'll post an update next time I candle it. I don't expect to get a peachick, but a little luck never hurt.

Oh I am so sorry to hear that. I have been through the same thing with mine. I had 4 eggs the first go around. two of them wasn't fertile, 1 quit and 1 died before it hatched. It was fully formed when we did the eggtopsy. I was so upset. They came from Texas and I am in Virginia and I didn't realize until after I bought them that shipped peafowl eggs usually don't do well. Anyway a friend of mine sent me two from Maryland. One wasn't fertile and number 2 has just pipped on day 25. I am so nervous and anxious I can't stand it, LOL. I wish you lots of luck and I am sending great hatching vibes your way.

OMG! OMG!
I just pulled out the one good peafowl egg I have. I was going to show my husband how I candle the eggs and what the air cell looks like. I got the pea egg because it is larger and has a lighter shell than the chicken eggs.
So he sits behind me & I start to show him what to look for and... movement... I have definite movement!!
I really needed that. I was so disappointed about the other eggs. I still have a chance with my one egg.
My husband confirmed it and then he sat back and said, "Happy Birthday!" Yeah, I guess so... It's after midnight here, so it is June 9th.
Happy birthday to me!!
