JUST PLUMB DISTURBING...

I think that's disturbing to me for the fact that that girl obviously needed help and no one seemed concerned. People pass out from the over consumption of alcohol all the time, but its also a major sign of alcohol poisoning. A lot of times people think they need to "sleep it off" and that is a huge no no. By the time they sleep it off, they could be dead.

I hate being around my college friends when they drink. I am not a drinker and I am also an EMT. When my friends start doing stupid things, I feel responsible for them. Why should I have to run around being everyones' mother when I should be having a good time myself? I just don't understand why people need alcohol to have a good time.

I've had my fair share of dealings with alcoholics...its not pretty, and I consider that a disease that needs medical attention.

What is NOT a disease is young adults who irresponsibly drink. I have nothing against alcohol what so ever. I have a few drinks every now and then. Its only when you drink irresponsibly that causes a problem. You don't have to be an alcoholic to get yourself in trouble with liquor! (And I think its VERY important to choose the right people to drink around. When you can't take care of yourself for any reason, who is going to be there for you? I'm sure you want responsible people who will provide help if necessary!)
