I just put 12 home grown eggs in the incubator, 9 are from my 3 tux hens with heavy white and my solid scarlet (?) Big Red. I’m hoping to work my way toward scarlet tuxes and pandas. I have 3 eggs from general pop from a female who lays these matte light blue eggs with no gravelly residue or spots, I’m hoping it’s a gene and not some reproductive defect, the eggs have been normal looking inside, shells are just as hard.
You can see in the pic how smoothe they are, the others are shinier. None of the original eggs I bought looked like this. I thought at first it was new egg weirdness from a young hen, but it’s been the same every day for a couple weeks now.
