If the incubator ran slightly cool, development and hatching could be delayed by a few hours or even a few days. Mine does that (growl, snarl,

Today is the day and two that I know of have hatched I'll check at sundown my plan is to put 5 in the brooder with the guineas that are hatching in the incubator and let Ethal and Pete raise a couple. let you all know what has happened LATER.

Give it a little longer, poultryfan73. I usually wait four or five days past the projected hatch date before calling it quits. I know it's hard, looking at an egg that refuses to pip, but it could just be delayed development. Even after five days, before tossing any egg, I always candle it really carefully, and sometimes float-test it if it looks dead but I want to double-check for movement. I have had lots of eggs that were late developers.
