Our little guy is doing GREAT! I am very happy. Hoping both of my guys continue to do well

.. I guess not horrible for my first attempt at getting peafowl eggs to hatch.

One of my Midnight BS hens has actually set as well. She gathered the other 4 hens eggs, and is sitting... I'll let her be for now

If not i'll move them to a broody hen.

I have my first egg that didn't hatch

. So far I've been lucky and all 7 chickens and 5 pea eggs that developed have hatched. I am giving it 1 more day but it doesn't look good. I haven' t seen any rocking or heard chirping. Last time I candeled it was at the same stage as the 2 others set that day and those 2 are running around with the older ones already. I'm dreading looking inside it but isn't it good to check what was wrong in case it was an error with incubation? Thank goodness for this site, I bet I can find a how to eggtopsy thread.


Edit: Well I did it

. Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. It looked like it stopped developing about a week from hatch but I didn't see anything wrong with it otherwise. Poor thing
