Just set my eggs... UPDATE: They're hatching!

That's a great idea with the plastic tubing. I have been using a funnel with a very thin spout so I only have to crack open the incubator a little bit, but the tubing idea sounds like something I will have to try.

My incubator has been perfectly stable for both heat and humidy with no fluctuations since I set the eggs. Hope the babies are developing well!

It's always hard to wait for 7 to 10 days to be able to candle the eggs.....I want to know NOW!!!

How is the incubation going for you guys?

Arrg, I'm off to a bad start.Temps were fine when I went to bed Friday, but woke up Saturday to 104. Don't know how long it was that high, hoping it has not damaged/killed any eggs. Got it down, and it has been a steady 99 since.

Also couldn't stop myself, I added yesterdays egg to the incubator, bringing the total up to 19.

On a happier note, my little hen is still on her nest. I put food and water near her so she wouldn't have to go looking for it.

day 4 or 5 for me yesterday and i candled again last night wow the change in 4 days is amazing after day 1 i had just little dots but now i have hearts beating in the middle of a network of tiny viens thats 20/20 for me lets just hope it stays that way and this time i get a hatch

I took a few eggs out last night to show my daughter that that really wasn't much to see yet. We saw a few veins, a couple that look clear, and a couple that may be quitters. We need to wait longer to really get a look at them...too soon.

i candled again last night day 6/7 or maybe 7/8 lol and 19/20 had moving eye spots i think the other egg is a little behind has still had a beating heart but no movement so i moved all the eggs about to even it out incase i had a cool spot so thats 10 runner ducks and 10 reisen brahama still cooking nicely im hoping they will all hatch at the correct time as i dont want to over filll the hatcher with 20 eggs so im hoping chickes hatch between 20/25 days and ducks 26 onwords as i have been told the ducks hatch early in the bator but we will see
