LOVE these photos! Thanks for sharing them.

My chickens (my runner ducks and geese had a much harder time navigating the steps) used to crowd onto my deck and beg for treats at the door. So cute!

However, I had the deck re-stained last year and put up a gate to stop the beggars, who usually left "presents" all over the place. Gating them out has rendered the "poop deck" sign that I had hung on one of the newel posts outdated.

Yeah that’s one thing that’s heavily disliked by them since they love to wait by the door when there isn’t much snow. So the seasons to come I’ll need to buy a gate of some sort to blockade them haha, I tried that last year and my chickens still jumped over. My ducks however will be different. I’m not sure if I want to but I might have to clip their wings besides the snow addicted ducky. The Muscovys can fly but haven’t flown out of the yard yet but I feel it’ll become a problem once the snow melts away. I hope to get a ranch or farm by the end of summer with my family so I hope I don’t have to clip their wings, they look so cool when they fly.
