I think I need to get her a book that says EE's lay at about 4-5 months, and tell her she is old enough and Needs to Start!!

I feel your pain! My oldest girls waited until they were 6-7 months before they started laying. My new ones are coming up on it pretty soon.... I hope!

I remember last fall waiting for our first egg. I would look at the chickens thinking about a tube of toothpaste... 'If I grab one by the neck and squeeze it downward something has to come out.' Luckily, I never did try.

Mr. Saddi took a cookbook out to the coop, and started reading them chicken recipies.

Get you some LF brahmas. Then when they start laying at 9 months, you'll think 4 to 5 months was great.

I waited and waited for my ee to lay. She layed her first egg out in the chicken yard, and they all ate it. I was not happy.

How funny! I just asked the same question on here today. Mine are 25 weeks (four EEs). Three have had red combs and faces for about 2 1/2 weeks now. One is slightly changing shades. Maybe it's something in the summer air this year

. Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one having this issue.
