Hi BYC! I just thought I'd lighten your day with photos of my little house goose.
His names Ryan and hes an African gosling. He's spoiled rotten too... He wears BABY DIAPERS because he 4efuses to wear a diaper harness. He always keeps mommy up at night because he misses her.. (I'm his mommy) so he gets to chirp me to sleep in my bed... Since he likes to act human, he sleeps on his back. ON A PILLOW. I usually put him on a pillow in the living room with a blanket in front of the TV. And he usually doses off quickly.

Hahaha awwwwww that is so cute!!! I have a house goose as well, and she is also totally spoiled rotten. How do you train him? I'm trying to get mine to listen to me better but I'm struggling a little bit

What do you mean under the terms of training? Lol. What type goose is she and how old? Ryan comes to his name and everything.. But the sad thing is that I'm trying to get rid of two little ducklings because I can't deal with anymore babies at the moment- funny but sad:( Ryan must act like a human because when he was first hatched he imprinted strongly and I've sold all of his siblings so us humans were the only ones he has! Lol. But he takes more to mommy than anyone else:) yay. What I'm worried about is when he gets older and he's outside in the pond- we usually have many visitors stopping by(geese and ducks traveling) and when its mating season geese get pretty territorial and mean:(

Oh! Try feeding her peas when she comes to you. Let her come to you. Don't case her or anything. Lol. But DONT let her eat from your hands (I learned this the hard way) geese get strong grasps when they grow and can actually break some skin! *ouch!*

My baby is a Toulouse, and she(maybe a he, not sure) will be 2 months old on the 15th of this month. She knows her name and follows me everywhere. Much like you, she's my only one. I just want her to listen better lol. Like, how do I get her to listen to me when I want her to be quiet. She's so talkative. She's always quiet when I put her in her little house and turn the light off, but other than that she just peeps her little goosey head off. I want her to be 'trained' much the same as people train their dogs. To sit, come, stay, things like that. I know it can be done, I'm just trying to find people with success stories in that area to get some pointers from. I've tried a few things, but I would like to know what works for people.

Did he decide he liked laying on his back on his own and just start doing it, or was this something that you've taught him? That is so adorable

. I can't stop looking at it. I wish Miss Nelson would do that lol

When he was younger, I realized that he stopped peeping when I put him on his back. It relaxes them. Now he usually only sleeps like this. It takes him awhile to get in the position on his own.. And he's only done it successfully one time :D so now I hold him like a baby or I lay in the floor beside him until he falls asleep, then I sneak off:) and how old is your goose? Ryan was a little noisy when he was younger, but I've noticed that he's settled down a bit. He's finally starting to feather out!

Mine is almost 2 months old, and well on her way to fully feathered. Maybe I should try getting her to lay on her back...that may quiet her down some
