You are both welcome. It is like with a horse they can not be down too long on their sides because their organs can crush and kill them. The same way with geese they never lay on their backs and if they get that way as a gosling make sure to turn them back over or they will die from the stress of all the organs on them!!! Glad to have been of some help to you's...............Thank you for telling me!! Ryan needs to break the habit! *or maybe I should*
I built Ryan and the two younger ducklings a coop today, its right outside beside our porch! I couldn't keep him in our backyard- wed miss each other too much!! Of course I'm not keeping him in the coop ALL the time. Just sometimes. He will still be able to get the same spoiled rotten treatment. I think I will only keep him in it at night. And put him in for about an hour or two during the day so he can take a swim and nip at grass and play with the two little duckies!I'll post pictures of the coop once phone charges up more![]()
Did you read that putting your geese on their backs is not a good thing? That it puts pressure on all of their organs and can kill them! My advice is do it just for a bit and then turn them back over on their stomach's!!!!
I would hate to see you lose your beloved geese......
