Just wanna say Lowe’s is the worst!

It's like that King of the Hill episode where Hank goes to the Mega-Lo-Mart
"I'm looking for a tap and dye" (I'm probably spelling that wrong)
"What is it you're trying to do?"
"I'm trying to find a tap and dye!"
"OK...tap and dye...but what are you trying to do?"
Here’s the clip for anyone who is not familiar:

I amend my soil and load my own- horse poop in my old empty feed bags, mulch in feed bags get the picture. I constantly compost. I control the weight and load and it is free. Just my efforts. Plus nothing better that horse poop imo.

PS. Sorry for your grueling hectic day and experience. Nothing worse than having a poop cherry on the cake of your day.
My DH does most of the shopping and picking up of things now for us. He is way more patient lol.

Small businesses close because we don't use them. We want to save $ w/ big box stores and now those guys own us.
Unless you live in the middle of nowhere like me. Then it's ALL little guys unless you're willing to drive and haul. Then you have to figure your savings at the big box, with the burning of the gas, mileage, and lack of service.

Unfortunately, where I live, many of the small business owners put forth so much effort showing everyone how scared they are of covid, shutting their doors, adopting web ordering and curbside systems that didn’t work, treating every customer like they have the plague, severely limiting their hours etc, people turned to amazon and big box stores. Then those same small businesses who towed the line of fear for all the politicians, found out they couldn’t afford the ventilation upgrades, the plexiglass, employees just to clean and re clean, and the government gave them nothing, but continued rewarding those who didn’t want to work at all under the excuse of fear. So they went under, or they’re being overcharged by suppliers who are trying to make up the losses they stack up supplying the big boxes, and in turn pass those extra charges on to us. My local feed store now costs more for lower quality feed, and I have to drive 25 minutes each way. Chewy ships it to my door for less overall cost. I’d love to support the feed store, but I got bugs in my feed, the bottom feed in a bag was soaked, and they offered no refund or credit, if I get bad feed from chewy, they send new feed for free, and tell me to throw the old stuff away. I wouldn’t even know where to get half the things I can get at Home Depot any more, except at Lowe’s or amazon.

Sounds like you live in hell-o.
Our small business followed protocol and respected their friends and neighbors and science. Here, I'd like to think we all make sacrifices to be decent and for the Greater good... well, most of us do anyways. Being patient and kind seems to have worked for the most part. I reward our small business by shopping there. Things have to be shipped a long way to get here so we understand that snapping our fingers and stomping our feet gets us looking foolish only. Resourcefulness has its rewards.
