Just won on Ebay!!!~~~~Update~~~~

They looked good to me but this is all new to me. This is my first time hatching shipped eggs (or any eggs for that matter). This will more than likely be one of the VERY few times I hatch outside eggs. I'm concentrating on Polish chicks and Black Copper Marans. If these eggs hatch, I will keep them for stock and then hatch out my own eggs in the future including the ducks.

Well, you'll know if they're broken when you candle before setting because they will look watery and bubbly inside if you tilt them. If broken, they can be very challenging to hatch...I have several myself, of which only one is developing.

Yep - if the air cells are broken, you'll see an air bubble inside the egg that moves around. I've had some eggs with broken air cells start to develop, but I've never managed to hatch one.

What type of incubator are you using (just out of curiosity)?

I have a Hovabator Genesis 1588 with auto turner. I also have a LG but I was going to use it for hatching while using the Hova for incubating.

I just went into lockdown like not even an hour ago. As I was moving them to my LG for hatching, I noticed 5 pips already. Go duckies go

I have hatched eggs with detached egg cells, but I use a turner... when I stop turning I put them in an egg carton. Good luck - they are beautiful ducks. Keep us posted with pictures. : )

I've got my camera ready. I had them in a turner and I was going to lay them on their sides until I seen the pips. I placed them in an egg carton so the babies would not get disoriented.
